How to Achieve Reliable Data in your Airflow Pipelines with Databand

Have data quality issues? What about reliability problems? You may be hearing a lot of these terms, along with many others, that describe issues you face with your data. What’s the difference, which are you suffering from, and how do you tackle both?

Knowing that your Airflow DAGs are green is not enough. It’s time to focus on data reliability and quality measurements to build trust in your data platform.

Join this session to learn how Databand’s proactive data observability platform makes it easy to achieve trusted data in your pipelines.

Save the date how Databand.ai can help you create stable, reliable pipelines that your business can depend on!

In this session we’ll cover:

  • The core differences data reliability vs data quality
  • What role data platform, analysts, and scientists play in guaranteeing data quality
  • Hands on demo setting up Airflow reliability tracking

This session is based on:

April 2022 Apache Airflow TLV Meetup

This is an Airflow Meetup organized by Databand and hosted by Optimove.

*This event will be presented in Hebrew

We are proud to kick off the first in-person Airflow TLV Meetup! Join us for a great networking event with fellow data engineers from the most interesting data companies. In this event, hosted by Databand and Optimove, we’ll hear 2 fascinating lectures and learn how the data engineering teams at Optimove and MyHeritage managed to overcome difficult challenges with their Airflow infrastructure.

Timeline:
18:00 – 18:30 – Beers & Pizza
18:30 – 18:45 – Airflow Meetups in TLV (Niv Sluzki)
18:45 – 19:15 – Multi-tenancy orchestration with Airflow (Michal Perlmutter)
19:15 – 19:45 – Applicative Airflow monitoring using Prometheus (Omri Alon)

Multi-tenancy orchestration with Airflow – Michal Perlmutter, Data Engineering Team Leader, Optimove

In this lecture, we will talk about how we used parametrized generic DAGs in order to orchestrate complex multi-tenancy processes including other DAGs, Kubernetes jobs, and web API micro-services.

Applicative Airflow monitoring using Prometheus – Omri Alon, Data Engineering TL, MyHeritage

In this lecture, we will talk about how to run an applicative monitoring service for Airflow, how it helped us gain visibility and improve the performance of our Airflow setup.
